FAQ

Where are the detailed routes?

Complete route files and guides are sent after registration closes. Get the updates and route previews subscribing to the newsletter.

Are the spots limited?

Yes. We work with 4 waves. Each wavent has a maximum capacity of 25 spots to preserve the experience quality. You cannot register after the deadline. In total 100 adventurers will participate in Expedition Dolomites.

How can I register?

Pre-register by sending an email to gv@cyclosportive.nl so you'll be ready when registration opens. We will let you know when the particular wave is open to register. The first wave starts at march 1.

What about a medical certificate?

Required two months before the event. We'll send instructions.

Are all routes on roads?

That is how you define roads... The route is for 100% on roads. But all kind of roads. This is an allroad adventure. Are all roads easy to cycle on? No. Some roads are very difficult. Hike-a-bike-sections? Yes! A gravelbike with 40mm tires is necessary.

Any time limites or checkpoints?

None. Complete the journey at whatever pace feels right to you.

Where do I sleep and eat?

Your choice entirely. Hotels, camping, restaurants, or packed meals—plan however suits your style. Be aware that mountain huts are small and that you have to choose wisely.

What if I am registered and I can't participate?

As per the terms, which you must read before registering, there is no refund/partial refund/transfer of registration to the following year or other editions.

Are the finishing and starting points different?

Expedition Dolomites is a loop, so the finish and start are in the same city.

Am I insured when I register?

No, you have to take care of your own insurance for this event.

Is there any assistance on the route?

No, it is your adventure, your responsibility. We take care of the route. We take photographers with us to cover your adventure and we provide you with GPS trackers. You have to think about a rescue plan, who to call if in trouble etc. You can always reach us, and we will always try to help. But we cannot pick you up.
